10:09 Numbers “When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies.” (NIV)
The Levites were in place. The tabernacle order and movements were directed by God. The people knew that He was with them by the cloud by day and the fire at night. He had directed that the trumpets be used to assemble the leaders or the whole people. They were also to be used at the beginning of a battle against enemies...as a reminder that God was with them and that they would be rescued from their enemies. Do you feel rescued? Seek Him and seek His power to rescue you from all danger.
Each day we remind you of the impact that you have with your clicks on like, and your clicks on share to route this verse to those that you know and love. Ask who they depend upon if they ever get into trouble. Ask how they would respond to save them from their enemies. See what they tell you. While I have not served in the military, I cannot even imagine how I would feel on the frontlines taking fire from the enemies. Scary and life-threatening constantly. Yet, God wanted the sound of the trumpets to be a reminder. A reminder that God was will them and that He would rescue them. He is our shield and our protector. Turn to Him at all times... He will not forsake you. Continue to Take Time for God’s Word© day-by-day or as you see 10:09 on a clock, microwave, or phone. Print out copies of this verse card and keep it on your counter or desk as a reminder that you are ‘remembered by the Lord your God and rescued from your enemies’. It is helpful to KNOW who is on your side and who wins the ultimate battle... and that you are on the winning side. Stay blessed to be a blessing to others.
