God IS the light of the world!

1:03 Genesis “Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light." (NIV)

The sequence in creation is very interesting and exceptionally practical. One thing builds upon the next and the next. While darkness and light are the same to God (He sees through both), for everything else, separating the light from the darkness is crucial. It happened with just a Word from God to “Let there be light”. Yet the complexities and intricacies of light are still being studied and learned to this day. That is why we believe in God our creator...He was the beginning...He will be the end...and He is with us now and always in our hearts and in our minds. Don’t miss a single day without Him.

Ask where is the darkest place they have ever been to. Ask if they were relieved to again have the lights turned back on. See what they tell you. I have been in caves where they turned off all the lights. It was SO DARK! And I was so happy when they turned the lights back on. Seemed like it took a LONG time for them to do that. I was so glad to get out of those caves and back into the sunlight. Walk in His light each day. Always Take Time for God’s Word© often each day or as you see 1:03pm on a clock, bank sign, or microwave. Set up this verse in your Reminders at 1:03pm on Thursdays and copy in the verse as the title of the Reminder. As it pops up each week, close your eyes and try to picture what is in the room (or wherever you are)...now try to imagine it if you could not see ever again. Imagine that you were blind and consider ALL that you would be missing out on...colors ...faces ...scenery ...expressions ...loved ones faces ...sunsets ...and so much more. Thank God for the light. Thank Him for Jesus as the light of the world. Take time to take it all in when there is an exceptional sunrise or scenic view or colorful piece of artwork. We have so much to be thankful for and having light around us is one of those great things. Enjoy it each day.

Our prayers go out to all the early responders and organizations whose mission is to help those in times of disasters like the Red Cross (Washington, DC). We know that they are already on the scenes in Southwest Florida and wherever there was destruction from hurricane Ian this week. What a blessing they are to those in need. Support them. Volunteer to help if you are able. Be a blessing to those who lost everything in a matter of hours. Then, stay safe and stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on to those who are still in darkness in their lives and who need the light which only Jesus can bring to them!
