We are knit together in the womb!… Day 120

Psalm 139:13 “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.” (NLT)

There is a great skill to knitting. The knots, the spacing, the ties, the colors of patterns, and the sizing. When it is done well, it is a masterpiece and something to treasure. That’s how God sees each of us. We were ‘knit together’ in our mother’s wombs. It takes time. It takes patience. There is a LOT that is happening from conception through birth. Yet, He sees it all. He knows us even before we are born. We must continue to protect life. We must celebrate it. We must live to our full potential while following His plans for us. Get that special card, candy, flowers, or gift for your mom this Mother’s day. Or, if yours is already in heaven, say an extra prayer of thanks for being there for you!

Ask how much they remember of childhood and the birth of other siblings. Ask if they thought it was a joyful thing… or if they would have rather had a new puppy. Hear what they describe. I greatly enjoy kids… grandkids… nieces and nephews… all of them. It is amazing to see how they learn and HOW MUCH they learn in those first 1-4 years of life. Amazing! Now, they are also learning on electronic devices… our two-year old grand-daughter got her own (hand-me-down) iPod because she was draining the battery on her sister’s iPod and her mom’s iPhone. All before she could speak or read. So, help them to learn their Bible verses… they will recall them… just practice. Always Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you see an expectant mother or very young children in strollers. This may be a verse to recall as 13-9-13 All odd numbers… kind of unique. That will help you recall PS 139:13 and the words ‘knit me together’. You may also recall it whenever you put on that favorite hand-knit sweater. OR, even when you are in the doctor’s waiting room looking at those ‘body charts’ with the long words and multiple layers of drawing to show what’s going on inside of you… without you really paying much attention to it all… unless it hurts. Thank Him for his creation and protection of you!

We continue our prayers each month for all the early responder organizations who come to any and all forms of disaster. We pray for the Red Cross (Washington, DC) and all their many roles in helping people around the world. They are there for the hurricane victims, fire survivors, displaced flood families, and so much more. They are there LONG after the news crews are gone and the focus changes to clean-up and rebuilding. THANK YOU for your support of them. Volunteer if you are able. Sharing your blessings with those who may have lost everything. Help them rebuild their lives. Pass it on to those just starting out in life so that they have the great benefit of knowing Jesus their whole life-long… what a true blessing that is!
