The dead are brought to life!

8:52 Luke “Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep."“ (NIV)

Jairus was a leader in the synagogue. His only daughter was dying. He wanted Jesus to come to his house to heal her. On their way, mourners came to tell them that his daughter had died. When Jesus said, “She is not dead but asleep”, they laughed at Him as they knew she was dead. Jesus persisted and went to where the girl was laying. He touched her. Her life was restored and she was returned to her parents. Do not underestimate the power of God in your life. Remember 8:28 Romans, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (NIV)

Please pass along this verse to those who needs their hope restored. Ask if they know of people who have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Ask if they have known those still in the hospital from the virus. We do not know the ‘why’ of who is infected and of those who have died. We do know that God knows and it is a reminder that we live in a fallen world. This is not our home. We are bound for a heavenly home with Him. Make every day count as you share the Good News with others. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you see statistics of those who have died from the virus or at 8:52 am or pm. We have many great verses that are memorable by themselves. Others are part of a memorable event or account of what Jesus did while with us on earth. This verse reminds us that even death is not an obstacle for God. The resurrection of Christ was that final step to reconcile us to God. As a result, we can now live with Him forever. Know that in your life. Keep trusting in Him… now and always!!

Our prayers reach out to all the nursing homes and assisted living centers around the country. These have been shut down for about 8 weeks. They have been hard hit by the COVID-19 virus and there have been a larger number of deaths due to their age and underlying medical challenges. They need prayers for the residents, the staff, the families, and all the friends who cannot support them as they would like to. Reach out to them. Encourage them. Mourn with them, if that is what they need. Continue to be a blessing in creative ways. You will also be blessed by it. Pass it on to those who doubted Jesus power based on the Bible… and who still do not know Him as Savior and as Friend.
