Hear His Word, Take it to Heart!

8:08 Luke “Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown." When he said this, he called out, "Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.“ (NIV)

Jesus often spoke to the crowds by using parables. These were engaging stories that have a spiritual implication. The Sower and the Seed is a well-known set of verses. It reminds us that His Word goes out to ALL people. Some falls on deaf ears… ears eagerly listening to the world’s temptations. Some falls on receptive ears… they want to believe but their old ways creep back in and choke out the Gospel. Some falls on ears that want to hear… but their hearts are hardened, and they can’t accept it. AND… some falls on ears that want to hear and hearts that want to change… by the grace of God. Let our ears want to hear. Let our hearts want to change. Let our lives show the hundred-fold harvest as we pass it on to others.

Please provide this verse to friends who still need to hear the Good News. Ask them if they have a yard or a garden. Ask them if they have started planting anything for the season. It will give you a chance to talk about the parable that Jesus shared with the people of His day. The examples still apply. The meanings are still valid. The call for people to hear His Word is just as urgent now as it ever was. Share the Good News. Always Take Time For God’s Word© each new day or as you see new flowers blooming or 8:08 am or pm. Set this verse up as a Reminder on your phone at 8:08 am and set it to vibrate. When you feel that vibration, check the time and see the whole verse that you have copied into that Reminder. You will then recall the parable and the need for us to be fruitful where we are planted… AND to share those fruits with those around us. Wherever you are right now… God can use you to do some powerful things for His kingdom. Be a blessing to others right here, right now.

We continue our prayers for all the global mission organizations and their reach around the world. We pray for World Vision (Federal Way, WA) as they continue to serve children in some of the poorest countries around the world. We have been blessed to sponsor two children through the years. We now have ones in Africa and in Southeast Asia. It is a blessing for us to see them grow and to see their whole community benefit from the work of World Vision. Support them if you can. Help other similar groups if you are able. We are blessed to be a blessing. Do so with a heart of gratitude. Stay well. Pass it on to those around you as you sow seeds of grace through the Word of God.
