Let Him comfort and sustain you!

7:13 Luke “When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don't cry."” (NIV)

We see great sorrow in our world today. Tens of thousands are dying from the COVID-19 virus or from complications due to that trigger event. There is great sadness around the world for all those who have died in this pandemic. And, it is not over yet. The death rate seems to be <4% of those who contract the virus. Yet, it is still a large impact to the family and friends of those who have died. Jesus is there to comfort those who mourn. He grieves with us… yet, He gives us hope and the promise of a better tomorrow when we shall see Him!

Please bring comfort those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Ask if there is anything that you can do right now to help them. Ask if they would need a visit or a call from you to just talk OR for you to just listen to their needs. Show the love and compassion that Jesus showed to the widow whose son had died. We may not always know what to say… and that’s OK. Often, all they need is someone to mourn with them… someone to listen to them… someone to say again that life will go on and that God’s got this in His plan. Be that person for them. Then Take Time For God’s Word© each day or as you see the daily count of those who have died from COVID-19 or at 7:13 am or pm. Jesus knew the pains of death. He could see it in the hearts of this widow and others. He responded. He stopped the procession. He touched the young boy. He commanded him to sit up… to come alive again. The boy did just that. We most often limit the acts of Christ based on our limited view of what He can do. Trust in Him for the best that life can offer… it will get better when we let God be God… and when we put our full faith in Him! Let your heart reach their heart and let His love flow to them.

Our ongoing prayers are for the judges, the courts, and all who support the legal system in our country. These dedicated servants seek to administer justice and to protect the rights of those accused. It is a tough challenge. It is even tougher in the times of this pandemic. Yet, they seek to serve and to offer honest and fair judgements in support of our laws and for the protection of our citizens. Pray for them often. Let them know that you pray for them. Stay blessed to be a great blessing to many others. Pass it on to those who mourn and who have experienced great grief… be His love and kindness to each of them.
