Ask and believe…it is that simple!

7:09 Luke “When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel."” (NIV)

Jesus commented on the great faith that He found in the Roman Centurion…who asked that his servant be healed. Jesus did heal him. The Centurion compared his own power to command people to go and do whatever he asked with the power that Jesus had. The Centurion knew that if Jesus said it… then it would happen. Distance didn’t matter… time didn’t matter… type of disease or illness didn’t matter… the ONLY thing that mattered was the Word from Jesus. It is STILL true today. The only thing that really matters is the Word of Jesus. He invites us to be His disciples… to follow after His way… to share His Word… and to love others as He has loved us. Now that is what matters most!

Please commend this verse to those who could use more faith. Ask if they believe the COVID-19 pandemic will end in 3 months. Ask if they feel it will be 6 months or more for this virus to be tamed. Consider how they have answered. We don’t know exactly when the pandemic will end… but God does. He will see us through this AND through all the steps needed to rebuild our country and our world. There will be changes in the way we live… but not in who we live for… Jesus. He never changes and His love never fails us. Trust in Him. Remember to Take Time For God’s Word© each day or as you see those who have recovered or at 7:09 am or pm. This verse may be a good one to print out and to tape on your mirror so that you see it often…reminding you to have faith in His Word. It may also remind you to pray about your needs and the needs of friends and family. Just as the Centurion who brought the needs of his servant to Jesus, we too should bring such needs to Jesus in our prayers. He hears them… He answers prayer.

We continue to pray for all the people who have been victims of extreme weather issues like those in the southern states with the number of tornadoes touching down. It is sad to see the homes destroyed and towns littered with debris. Our hearts go out to those who have lost family and friends. Most of us will never knew such a deep sense of loss when a home is totally destroyed. Yet, through it all, we see the help and hope and healing which comes to these people in time of great need. Help if you can. Volunteer if you are willing to. Be a blessing to those in need wherever you find them. Pass it on by showing your faith and by sharing it when others need the love of Jesus… like they need it now!
