Many people heard the Words of Jesus but only a few put that into action. Jesus then gave the example of the wise man who built his house upon a rock and it could withstand a storm. The foolish man built his house on the sand and it fell when the storms came. He used this to show that hearing the Word but not accepting it or following it will produce sad and tragic results. Go and be His hands and feet to a world in need!
Please give this verse so that they can hear and practice what Jesus has said to us. Ask if they have ever heard something they liked, then did nothing to put it into action. Ask if they have their own example of ‘building upon the sand’. Listen to how they answer. Share examples from your own life of what it means to hear His Word and to put it into practice. We are not perfect… we are all sinners… yet, we need to put into practice the love, kindness, goodness, etc. that Jesus has tasked us to be. Let His light shine through you. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you think of a verse or at 6:47 am or pm. This verse introduces the example of people building their house on rock (Jesus) or on sand (world values). You may want to link this verse and the example to your own house. When you pull in the driveway or park in front of the house, recall this verse. Build your life and your family on the Rock of our Salvation… Jesus Christ. It will stand against every challenge… no matter what!
pray for all the MANY Christian causes and charities in this time of crisis. They may provide Bibles throughout the world. They may provide help for domestic violence. They may provide mentoring to kids who need support. And they do so much more. Many are now just focusing on food donations to feed the MANY who need food support in this pandemic. Support those in your area. The needs are still critical. Be that blessing even from your homes. You are a BLESSING! Thank you for ALL that you do for His kingdom.
