Speak only good words!

6:45 Luke “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” (NIV)

Our words are a true reflection of what is in our hearts. Jesus emphasizes this to the disciples and to the crowds that gathered. How often have you said something that you wish that you could take back? It was hurtful. It was unkind. It was NOT who you are… most of the time. We need to continue to fill our hearts and minds with the loving words of Jesus. We need to think about what we will say… before we say it. Respond to each situation in love and let the words reflect that love from your heart. Speak the Good News… best words ever spoken!

Please provide this verse to those who may need to be more careful in what they say. Ask if they were ever shocked by something that came out of their mouths. Ask how that made them feel and if they needed to apologize for those words. Hear what they have to say. All of this stems from what we hold dear in our hearts. If it is kindness and love… that’s what shows. If it is bitterness and jealousy… then that’s what comes out of our mouths. Pray for a clean heart. It go a long way in helping you to speak good, kind, and loving words… always. Next, Take Time For God’s Word© OFTEN each day or as you speak a kind word or at 6:45 am or pm. Print out this verse card. Carry a few copies with you. Share them with those who may need to watch what they say. Be reminded of it often as you find them in your pocket or purse. It is a great way to help break a bad habit OR to reinforce a good habit. Then, be known by others for your gentle voice of kind and loving words from your heart to theirs.

Each month in our prayer cycle we pray for our government leaders and elected officials at all levels. They NEED our prayers now more than ever! We see new levels of cooperation as we ALL fight the common enemy… COVID-19. We can see the toll that it takes on them emotionally as they give the infection stats and increasing numbers of deaths. It is exhausting. Please build them up in your daily prayers. Let them know that you are praying for them. Help out others if you are able. Stay in a bit longer. Be a blessing in word and deed. Pass it on to all that you meet through your good words and deeds of love and kindness… just as Jesus did for us!
