Our hunger will be satisfied!

6:21 Luke “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.” (NIV)

When the crowds followed Jesus, they have many motives… for healing… for food miracles… for teaching… for signs and wonders. His words gave them hope and encouragement during a time of Roman rule. His miracles brought sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, mobility to the crippled, new skin to the lepers, and new life to the dead. He still brings us new life… eternal life and freedom from our sins. Best gift ever!! All we need to do is to ask Him into our lives and to forgive us. He will then be with us forever!! Trust in Him!

Please pass this verse on to those who are in need during this coronavirus crisis in our world. Ask if they have family or friends who have caught this virus. Ask what we can do to help them out. Pay attention to their needs. You may be at a point of making choices… buy food or pay bills…. pay rent or pay for heat… buy gas or buy health insurance… these are hard choices. We are seeing exceptional support and help from others if you will ask… let them know your need and situation. Ask if they can help in any way. Then, try to help out others in some way, too. We are all in this together… be a blessing whenever you can be. Remember to Take Time For God’s Word© throughout the day or as you see people in need (and there are many) or at 6:21 am or pm. These examples of ‘blessed’ show that there will be hardships and pain in life… but they do not last. It may seem dark right now… yet He has planned a glorious new day for us. That is why we must never give up or give in to temptations in the moment. God has a better plan for us. Just Trust in Him. Give it up to Him in prayer. He may provide for you through other people… people that you don’t even know. Watch for His hand at work in people around you. Thank Him in advance for His blessings!

We normally pray for all of those who are victims of various natural disasters… and there are still many around us. Yet, the COVID-19 pandemic is first and foremost in our minds so let us join with millions of others in lifting our prayers to God for a rapid end to this crisis in our world. It is strange how something small (almost invisible) can cripple nations… our missiles, battleships, tanks, etc. are of no value or match for this killer. It knows no boundaries or ethnicity. It knows no gender nor wealth status. We need to understand that our lives are in His hands. We ask His mercy and grace to given to our fallen world. Stay well as you stay inside. Stay blessed to be a blessing to others. Pass it on to those who are hungry and who weep for God will bring a new day to them and to all of us!
