Spend time in worship…even remotely…

6:05 Luke “Then Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."” (NIV)

The religious leaders continued to look for ways to find fault with Jesus and what He was doing and sharing. They had MANY rules about what you could NOT do on the Sabbath. They forgot the most important thing… what you can do on the Sabbath and that is to worship God. Even now, with our ‘social distancing’ and church services being streamed to homes, it is still a time to gather and to worship God. It is different. It isn’t the same as when we are together. Yet, it is all about giving God the thanks, praise, and glory due His name. It is about sharing time in prayer together in thought and in topics. He sees our intent… He knows our hearts… He hears our prayers. Enjoy spending time with Him every day… and especially in our worship services. Invite others to join in!

Please let friends and family know about the ‘live streaming’ church services so that they can join in. Ask if they have such services available to them. Ask if they are available for rebroadcast and replay in case they missed them at the original planned times. These capabilities were not as widely available and in use in years past. They are here for us now so that we can still enjoy our worship despite the physical separation. God’s still in control. Please, Take Time For God’s Word© often daily or as you see your services on Saturday or Sunday or at 6:05 am or pm. We have great friends who are sharing Christian songs and prayers through Facebook live events… throughout the week. It gives people more times to connect. It makes it more personal. It shows that we can ALL help to reach others with the Gospel. So, whether it is online, in daily devotionals, or podcasts, or more… continue to Take Time For God’s Word whenever you can. It will help you to grow in faith and to connect (remotely) with others to thank and praise God!

Please continue to pray for all Christians across all colleges and universities in our country and around the world. As most colleges and universities have now cancelled classes for the remainder of the school year due to COVID-19, so many are now back home or elsewhere. Some are completing courses remotely via the Internet. Others are waiting to hear how they will complete classes, graduate, etc. They need our prayers to help them through these challenging times. Reach out to them remotely and let them know that you pray for them. That is important… to encourage their faith… to let them know that you care. Be such a blessing to so many who need it. Pass it on to others to let them know that we can worship God through TV, radio, streaming, Facebook live, podcasts, daily devotional posts and messages… and so MUCH more! Now more than ever… Take Time For God’s Word… Amen!
