Jesus leaves His hometown because they did not accept Him… they only saw Him as Joseph’s son. Jesus meets a demon possessed man. The demons know who Jesus is…they cry out to Him. They know the power and authority that He has over them. So, if even the demons know the power of Jesus, why do so many people reject that same power and authority. Many still believe they can handle life on their own terms… yet, they have no real hope for eternity. Only Jesus provides His saving love and grace both for now and for eternity. Don’t miss it for the world!
Please send along this verse to anyone who may be ‘sheltering-in-place’ due to the COVID-19 (and that’s A LOT of people). Ask if they are hearing good news in all that is being reported. Let them know that the message of Jesus is Good News to ALL who hear it and who believe in Him. Just as this coronavirus is spreading from person-to-person, the news about Jesus also spread quickly because of the miracles which He performed. It should still spread quickly as we tell others of His saving love and grace. That is something good that you can share with others. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you hear any good news on TV or at 4:34 am or pm. The reputation of Jesus spread quickly as He performed miracles of healing and driving out demons. They had no CNN or cable channels to tune into. They heard about it from people who were there OR who had heard it from others. It spread… in a good way. People flocked to hear His Words. They hoped to see His miracles. They wanted the life that He was describing. That message is still valid and true today. The world is looking for something that lasts… His Word lasts throughout eternity. others know that He is the Holy One of God!
We again offer up our prayers for all the first responder organizations and charities around the world. We think of the Red Cross as it still deploys teams of people in disaster areas from natural causes. They are also responsible for contributing a significant amount of blood to local blood banks. Due to the cancellation of MANY blood drives, there is a critical shortage of blood available from hospital blood banks. They need donors. You can still make appointments and donate at their centers. Consider this as a gift of life to someone in need of blood and its components. Help out if you can. Be that blessing in a quiet but profound way. THANK YOU for your blessings there. Continue to share the Good News knowing that many have nowhere else to turn… let them turn to Jesus to give them new life in Him.
