Do not follow the temptations of Satan!

4:12 Luke “Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’“” (NIV)

Satan makes a last challenge to Jesus. Satan said that if Jesus jumped from the spire of the temple, that the angels would prevent Him from hitting His foot on the rocks below. Jesus did not need to prove anything to Satan. He knew that God was with Him at ALL times. He did not need to do something foolish just to show Satan. That is true for us. We do not need to put ourselves at risk to prove anything to anyone. God Loves You!! That is true, ALWAYS. Don’t be tempted in ways that are for show and not for the glory of God. He watches over you. Thank Him for that. Let your love show each day!

Ask if they have ever accepted a dare to do something that was highly risky. Ask how that turned out for them… and would they do it again, knowing what could have happened. Pay attention to how they answer. Let them know that we are not to tempt God by doing foolish or risky things. God gives us choices and He expects that we will make good choices. Instead, trust in Him for all of your daily activities. Please Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you see anyone doing risky things or at 4:12 am or pm. We end our monthly prayer list by asking you again to pray for that ONE person that you know who desperately needs to know Jesus as Savior and Friend. It may be a family member, friend, co-worker, or just someone that you know. You may have been praying for them for months or even years. Keep praying. Don’t give up. Tell them that you are praying for them. Ask them if there is anything that you can do for them. Let them know how deeply you care for them. It will make a difference. Help them to become ‘forever friends’. Stay blessed. Pass it on to everyone to share His love and to encourage them not to test God through selfish or risky behaviors.
