Have you seen Jesus?

2:17 Luke “When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,” (NIV)

It wasn’t enough just to hear about the baby in the manger, the shepherds needed to go and see it for themselves. It was night. It was dark. It was not an easy walk. Yet, they had to see this baby…they had to see Jesus for themselves. They had to meet Him. How about you? Are you content just to hear about Jesus OR have you taken the time to meet Him for yourself through prayer. He is a personal savior. He wants an eternal relationship with YOU! Spend time getting to know Jesus and His plans for you.

Please send along this verse to family, friends, and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if could go to see some major event… for free… would they? Ask why that is better than just hearing about it from others. Listen to their replies. Let them know that you can’t just know about Jesus… you really need to know Him from the heart. You need to put your life in His hands. You need to make a commitment to trust Him fully each day. Take action like the shepherds and then tell others about what Jesus did for them. Please Take Time For God’s Word© each day or as you see a baby or infant or at 2:17 am or pm. I am sure that the shepherds kept telling that story over and over and over. It never got old. It was always new and exciting. We need that same enthusiasm when we tell others about the love of Jesus. It is still new and fresh and welcomed by those who are searching for more in this life… just what Jesus has to offer them. You are sharing the Word of Life with them… there is nothing more important than that. Be excited to spread the Good News!!

We pray for all the soup kitchens and food pantries/ food banks around our country. We would be shocked at how many people in our neighborhoods rely on the food pantries to have enough to eat. We would be humbled to stand as a server at a soup kitchen to see the hundreds of people who line up for hours just to have something to each. Help them if you can. Take a few canned goods to drop of there each week. Volunteer to serve or sort or distribute. Be the hands and feet of Jesus to these people in need. You are blessed… now go and be a blessing to others. Pass it on with the same excitement and wonder that the shepherds had after they had met Jesus and after they heard all that He would do for them.
