Will you make room for Jesus?

2:07 Luke “and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.“ (NIV)

Luke 2 begins with the Christmas Story. It tells about the birth of Jesus. We read it every Christmas… sometimes several times. You may know it by heart already. It is worth repeating even when it is not the Christmas season because the coming of Christ is for ALL times and ALL seasons of life. The question still remains, “Will you make room for Jesus in your life?” The inn keeper had no room for Him. He made a choice. It didn’t stop Jesus from coming into the world. We also have a choice. Will we open up our messy and complicated lives to let Jesus in… not as a guest but as the Lord of our lives? It will prove to be the best life possible when He is guiding your steps every day!

Please extend this verse to friends on your email list. Ask if they can remember all the gifts they got for Christmas this past year. Ask if they are using or enjoying any of those presents today. If they accepted Christ as the real gift of Christmas, they would find great joy in having Him in their lives each day. They would find peace and hope about the future. They would have something worth sharing and giving to others… passing along the Good News. Enjoy the gift of salvation every day. Remember to Take Time For God’s Word© often daily or as you see someone with a baby or at 2:07 am or pm. Set this as a Reminder on your phone for 2:07 pm with the title, “and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.” It will remind you of this verse and maybe the whole Christmas story. Remember the great gift God gave to us through Jesus… forgiveness of sins and life with Him… forever! And, if you want, it’s OK to hum a few of those great Christmas songs, too!

Please also pray for ALL the workers in our schools…cooks, librarians, bus drivers, principals, nurses, music teachers, etc. It takes many professionals and volunteers to make our schools function effectively. Each person has a skillset and a job to do in support of educating and training our children and our grandchildren. Thank them for their service. Let the know you appreciate what they do AND that you are praying for them. You are a blessing… let it show in all that you do. Pass it on to people still seeking the Good News and a new life found only in the love of Christ!
