You have been rescued…act accordingly!

1:74 Luke “to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear“ (NIV)

When John the Baptizer was born, his father Zechariah wrote down that his name should be “John”. He was again able to speak and gave great praise and glory to God for the blessing of a son and the role that John would play in announcing and preparing the coming of Christ. Is that your role? Are you a ‘preparer’ for others to come to know Jesus as Savior and as Friend. You are enabled to serve Him in many ways… and we can serve Him without fear… serve Him ‘fear-less-ly’!

Please pass along this verse to family and friends. Ask if they have ever been rescued from some accident or scary event. Ask how they felt immediately after the rescue. Listen to their replies. We have ALL been rescued by God through the sacrifice of Jesus who took our place on the cross. He set you free. Now, live in that freedom and life without fear. God is with you! Always Take Time For God’s Word© at various times each day or as you see someone being rescued. This verse goes beyond the time on any clock. So you can anchor it into your mind by focusing on the themes “to rescue us” and “to serve him without fear”. You may already have some mental images for each theme. When you do, attach them to 1:74 Luke and when you see those images, you will recall this verse and you can serve Him and live without fear. Keep that thought in your mind… ‘without fear’. See yourself in any situation acting and speaking without fear. Know that God is there with you to give you such boldness and courage. Now you can live that way each day.

Our prayers once again focus on uplifting all the teachers, aides, social workers, etc. in our schools. They have such an important role in training, guiding, instructing, inspiring, correcting, and encouraging our children and grand children. It is a great responsibility. It is often a ‘thankless job’ as kids seldom remember to thank for all the great things that teachers do for them. Let us reach out to tell them THANK YOU! (And if you are or have been a teacher at any time, … we THANK YOU!). Let them know that you are praying for them. Show your appreciation to them often. You will be a blessing and an encourager to them. Stay blessed. Pass it on to friends and strangers because He has enabled us to serve Him without fear! Live that way each day!
