Let your soul glorify the Lord…

1:46 Luke “And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord“. (NIV)

When Mary visits Elizabeth, she realizes a little bit of what God has in mind for her. She is humbled by it. She offers a song of praise for what He will do through her. In it, she gives ALL the praise and glory to God. She shows her deep commitment to His plans for her and for the child, Jesus, who will become the Savior to the world. Let us all remember to give God the glory for what He has done in and through us!! May our lives bring glory to Him!!

Please give this verse to friends who need to give God the glory for their blessings in life. Ask if they ever received cheering or applause for anything that the had done. Ask if they felt that they were worth the cheering or if someone else deserved it. If we are honest with ourselves, we would recognize that all that we have and are is a gift from God. We need to give Him the praise and the glory. We need to be humble about what we have done and not seek the recognition for ourselves. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you see people cheering for someone else and at 1:46 am or pm. The English Standard Version uses the words “magnifies the Lord”. I like that because it symbolizes that we enlarge Him, and we make Him bigger and more prominent in what we do. It can also mean that we examine more closely what He has done. We pay closer attention to it. The truth remains… we need to give God all the praise and the glory that is due His name for ALL that He has done (and will do) for us. Glory be to God!

We pray for all of those people who are recent victims of extreme weather-related events like the tornadoes in Tennessee, heavy snows in the New England area, and flooding in parts of the South. We are reminded of the dangers in our world. We are reminded that life is fragile and that our time here is limited. We ask that you would help out where you can. Volunteer if you are able. Be a servant to those who need to see the love of God in their lives. Stay blessed and be a blessing. Pass it on to others by giving God all the praise and the glory for what He has done in you… and let them know that He loves them with an eternal love!
