What would God say about you?

5:25 Daniel “This is the inscription that was written: mene, mene, tekel, parsin.“ (NIV)

King Nebuchadnezzar’s son is now king. He did not show respect for God or for items taken from the temple in Jerusalem. God sent him a message… with a hand… writing on the wall. Daniel gave the interpretation. God will not be mocked. Even kings are subject to His will. That’s the lesson for us. We need to remain humble and thankful to God for ALL that He has done for us. We need to walk in His ways. We need to follow His path. We need to lead others to Him. There is only one way… through Jesus Christ and His grace given for us.

Please give this unusual verse to those who may need to read the writing on the wall… now is the time to repent… now is the time to believe. Ask if they have heard the expression, ‘the handwriting is on the wall’. Ask if they know what that is referring to. Check out their responses. Refer to this passage in Daniel. Let them know that God speaks out against those who stand against Him. Let them know that we will all face God one day… He will judge us. We will receive grace and mercy if we know Jesus as our Savior. Help them to know the love of Jesus. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© often each day or as you see graffiti on any walls and at 5:25 am or pm. The point to this verse is that God does act when the time is right. He does judge those who are arrogant and who have not acknowledged Him. The words meant that: the king’s reign would end; he was weighed in the balance and was found to be wanting; his kingdom would be divided. It happened just as God had said. He showed that the king was not in control. We need to let God be God. We need to trust His plans for us. We need to thank and praise Him for all He has given to us. We need to go and serve and love others. Don’t wait for the ‘handwriting on the wall’… recall His verses of hope and life instead. Stay blessed in ALL that you do.

We extend our prayers for all the first responder organizations like the Red Cross (Washington, DC) that go into disasters to bring help, hope, healing and so much more. They have organizational capabilities around the world. We think of the massive wildfires in Australia and the relief work and support needed there. Many from around the world responded to that effort. Support them if you can. Volunteer where you are able. Be a blessing by being there to help others. You are blessed… ‘give thanks to the Lord for He is good’. Pass it on to those who feel that they don’t need God… then show them His love in action.
