Trusting God…no matter what happens…

3:18 Daniel “But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.“ (NIV)

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego trusted God. They knew that He ‘could’ save them from the fiery furnace. They did NOT know if He ‘would’ save them though. It didn’t matter. Their faith in God was absolute. Live or die… they were trusting in the Lord… no matter what happened. WOW!! That is great faith! We always seem to want God to do it OUR way… the easy way (for us). We need to trust Him to do it HIS way… as He only wants the best for us in the end. Sometimes that means pain… suffering… loss… even death. AND, for those who believe in Jesus, we will pass from life to life-eternal in Him. May we have that trusting faith to see us through ALL situations and then into eternal life with Him!

Please provide this verse or a link to this blog post to all your friends on social media and on email. Ask if they asked God for something big AND they did not get it. Ask if that caused them to doubt OR if it caused them to trust in Him more. Listen to the emotion as they describe it to you. These three young men would not compromise their faith in God. They knew that it meant death but that was OK. They knew that they would be with God in the end. Nothing would change that. Let us seek to be so bold in our faith. Always Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you wait for answers to prayers and at 3:18 am or pm. Do you always know that God is going to do? No one does! That is why we must have faith. We know that He loves us. We know that Jesus died for us. We know that we will one day be with Him forever. We just need to trust Him along the way… even if the answer to some of our prayers is NO. It means He has a better way. It means that He will do things His way… and not our way. It means that He was a higher purpose for what we are going through that we cannot see or even fathom. Our love for Him must not be conditional on Him doing things our way. Trust in Him…no matter what happens!

Our prayers now extend to all of those people who have been impacted by various extreme weather-related issues or catastrophes. This may be floods in the south or east… fires in Australia… earthquakes in Puerto Rico… or similar problems around the globe. These are ALL beyond our control. They cause huge damage to property and some loss of life for people and animals. We don’t know why. Yet, in it all… through it all… we see great acts of love, kindness, restoration, recovery, new hope, and so much more. These are times of testing for our faith and courage and persistence and patience… and more. God is with us each step of the way. Help those in need where you can. Support those directly affected. Be a blessing to them in large or small ways. Pass it on to those in the greatest need while trusting that God will use you as He chooses to bring glory to His name!
