He has risen! Hallelujah!

16:06 Mark “Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him." (NIV)

The women who followed Jesus in His ministry went to prepare the body in the tomb with spices, as He was buried hastily a few days earlier. They were worried about who would move the stone. When they arrived, the doorway to the tomb was now open, as the large stone was rolled away. An angel made the great announcement to them, “…He is risen. He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” They were in shock. They didn’t know what had happened, but they were overjoyed and went to tell the disciples. We should STILL be overjoyed with the Good News… and we should tell others, too!

Please route this verse to friends everywhere. Ask if they would have been there… at the empty tomb… what would have been their reactions. Ask if they would have gone to tell others OR would they have kept it quiet because it was too amazing. Some people STILL keep it to themselves. They fail to share the excitement of the Good News. It was so unexpected and unexplained in that moment that it was too much for them to tell others about it. Share the simple truth, Christ died for our sins and He rose again. He overcame death for us. Remember Take Time For God’s Word© often each day or as you think of the empty tomb and at 16:06 (4:06 pm). Just as 15:37 was the announcement of His physical death… so 16:06 is the great announcement of His new life… as a risen savior! Spread the news… nothing, not even death could hold back His love and His power!

We pray for all the Teachers, Aides, Social Workers, etc. in our schools. While the school year marches on, these dedicated women and men seek to make a difference in the lives of our children and grandchildren. They want them to enjoy learning…as we need to do that our whole life-long. They want them to learn to work together and to have fun together. They want them to learn self-discipline and meeting commitments. We need to support them. We need to thank them. If you are (or were) a teacher in your career, THANK YOU!! We know that you will not hear it often enough from students and from most parents. Your efforts are impactful…we appreciate all that you are doing in the classrooms for our youth! Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on to people who still need to hear that ultimate Good News… “He is risen!”
