He died for our sins!

15:37 Mark. “With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last." (NIV)

Mark makes the account of the crucifixion very focused. Limited descriptions. Just the major facts. Not much about the other words of Jesus from the cross. Just that He breathed His last. Just eight words that punctuate an extraordinary life and what would become an even more extraordinary resurrection and ascension into heaven. He prepared a path for us. Let us ALL walk on that path to meet with Him in heaven.

We as that you extend this verse to close friends from your church and fellowship groups. Ask how they would have reacted if they were standing at the foot of the cross that day. Ask if they would have seen enough to believe Him there or would it wait. There were only the soldiers, the women who would care for His body before burial, and a few religious leaders who stayed around to see His final death. Would you have stayed? It seemed like it was all over… yet, we know He was just beginning the next part of this amazing story. Now, Take Time For God’s Word© each day or as you pause to breathe and at 15:37 (3:37 pm). That time of 3:37 pm may have new and special meaning for you in the future. If you anchor this short verse to that time, you will recall that moment when it ALL changed. The curtain in the temple was torn in two. There was now no separation between God and man. Jesus paid the price for us to be made whole in the eyes of the law. We are made new. It was His last breath as a human… He then returned as one who came back to claim His own followers. Keep on the path to follow Him...forever!

Our monthly prayer cycle continues for those victims of hurricanes, fires, floods, tornadoes, and other natural disasters. It may be for those in Puerto Rico, Australia, southern states, or close to your home. We believe that God watches over them ALL. We continue to support those in their clean up efforts. We continue to give to the charities still working in those affected areas. Be a blessing to them. Help wherever you can. Pass it on to those that need to know Jesus and His saving grace in their lives… give them the Good News!!
