Be in communion with Jesus…

14:24 Mark. “"This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them.“ (NIV)

Jesus pauses to give thanks before He passes on the cup of wine to His disciples. In all things, He gave thanks to God. We should follow that example. Each time we take communion we should give thanks to God for such a great gift… the gift of salvation. With it came the gift of forgiveness… full and complete forgiveness. Jesus gave His all for us… can we give any less to Him in return. Be fully committed to Him each day… always AND in ALL ways!

We ask that you recommend this verse to family and friends. Ask if they take time for communion. Ask if they feel that it is a blessing to receive it. Listen to how they answer. Some churches offer communion weekly while others do so on a less frequent basis. Whatever the frequency, we need to partake in it with the full expectation that Jesus meets us in that bread and wine and it gives us a renewal in our lives. Don’t miss out on that great blessing. Please Take Time For God’s Word© often each day or as you see wine being served and at 14:24 (2:24 pm). Having a meal with people was a sign of friendship and a sign of welcome to their family. Communion is that meal for Christians to celebrate it with the family of believers and to again recall the death and resurrection of Jesus. And, just as Jesus did with the bread and the wine, give thanks to God for ALL that He has done. Leave your sins, doubts, fears, and confusion behind and look to Him for guidance on the path that He has prepared for you!

Each month we focus prayers on all the nursing homes and assisted living facilities with their staff and residents. People need extra help and support as they grow older and as they are recovering from accidents or surgeries. Reach out to them. It can be a lonely place if there are no cards, visitors, calls, texts, or emails. Don’t let that happen. Be a blessing to them. Know that your efforts will be greatly appreciated. That’s what we do… we seek to serve and to be a blessing to those around us. Pass it on with a clean heart and a willing spirit to share the Gospel…always!
