Kindness is never wasted!

14:09 Mark “Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.“ (NIV)

A woman came to where Jesus was staying and broke a jar of an expensive fragrance to be put onto Jesus. It was an act of thanks. It was an act of kindness. It was to prepare Him for his death on the cross. It shows that acts of great kindness and love will be remembered and will be retold for generations to come. What legacy are you building in your family… your career… your church… and among your friends? What great act of love and kindness will they want to tell to future generations… so large… so unselfish… so impactful… that it simply must be told AND God is glorified in the retelling of His love and grace shown to you!

Please offer up this verse to all your friends…near or far away. Ask if have done something so impactful and kind that others will remember it for years to come. Ask what is stopping them from doing something NOW to become that story worth telling about God’s love towards them. Listen to how they respond. We have some great stories of grandparents and great-grandparents that we love to retell. They were acts of kindness or courage that deserve to be retold. They trusted God fully and that is why the stories took place. He gets all the glory for his ongoing grace to our family. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© daily or as you may smell a fragrant perfume and at 14:09 (2:09 pm). Our memories are triggered by sights, sounds, tastes, touches, and even smells. If you associate this verse with a favorite perfume or cologne, when that smell is present, you will recall this verse. It will be a great memory of this woman who showed a great kindness to Jesus. We can show our kindness to others in the name of Jesus. He will get the glory and honor and praise. Make it memorable! Make it big enough for God to act to make it possible.

Our prayers now focus on all the Sunday School teachers and leaders. They ARE a blessing to our children and grandchildren. They retell the Bible stories in ways that kids can relate to. They make it memorable. They make it personal. They make praying and talking to God seem like it is just talking with a good friend (and He is!) Thank these volunteers. Let them know that you pray for them. Support them whenever you can. If you have ever served as a Sunday School teacher or leader…THANK YOU!! We have benefited from your gift of service. I am sure it was memorable. Stay blessed in ALL ways. Pass it on with humble acts of kindness and love which others will see and will want to tell future generations about how much you loved Jesus!
