His Word will last…forever!

13:31 Mark “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.“ (NIV)

Here we see that Jesus is reminding the disciples (that’s us, too) that even though there will be challenges leading to the end of time… He is there to carry us on into eternity. His Word will last forever! So, let us spend the time to know that Word and to stay close to God through His Word now… as a preview of the great wonder and blessings which He has planned for us. Many of those blessings can come now and can be shared with others. Then, the full extent of His great blessings will be shown to us as we enter eternity with Him. Rejoice… we are going home!!

Please message this reminder to your community of faith. Ask if they ever wonder what heaven will be like. Ask if they ever feel that they are experiencing a bit of ‘heaven-on-earth’ with the blessings that they receive and share even now. Listen to how they respond. It is so important for us to spend time in Bible Study and in fellowship. God wants us to see and to know ALL His great promises and His plans for us. Don’t miss any of them. Help others to see them as well. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© each and every day or as you open up His Word and also at 13:31 (1:31 pm). This may be another number pattern to help recall this verse. One God…three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)… then 3 in 1 (1-3-3-1) (13:31) or the short cut 1-3-1 (1:31 pm) also works. OR, maybe you link it to the words ‘heaven and earth’. When you hear those words, you just fill in the rest of the verse. OR, maybe it is the words ‘pass away’ that helps you to know that His Word will never pass away. Choose a way that works for you…the key is to recall His promises are true. What you hold dear… your faith through Jesus… will never end! That is something to remember always!

We now pray for those missionaries that we know by name. If you are like me, many of those names are now off their original mission fields as they are retiring. Yet, I know that they are still missionaries but on mission fields closer to home. And, a mission field may be down the block or on the other side of town… it doesn’t need to be far away. With the many new immigrants to our communities, God is truly bringing the mission fields closer to us. You are either a missionary… or a mission field! Reach out to them. Start with an act of kindness as an introduction. Get to know them. Hear their story. Then let the Spirit lead you to sharing with them. It is always Good News. Be that blessing. Pass it on to give what will last forever… you can never have too many ‘forever friends’… invite more to join the celebration!
