Jesus forewarns the disciples that others will claim to be Him… but they are NOT. The end will happen in an instant… in a blink of an eye… so He tells us ALL to be ready for His return… even NOW. While it is easy for us to debate the timing and how to interpret the signs of the times, only God knows that… we can’t even guess when that is planned. What we can do is to stay close to His Word. We can show the love of Jesus everyday to everyone that we meet. We can remain faithful in prayer and fellowship with other Christians. AND… we can rejoice and be glad that He has found us and has saved us a place with Him… forever. Now that is truly Good News… pass it on!
Please route this to close friends and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if they ever wake up suddenly and wonder, what if today is the ‘last day’? Ask if that motivates them or if it scares them. Think about how you would answer. Let them know that we should take advantage of every day to live for Him and to share His great love with all that we meet. Remember to Take Time For God’s Word© throughout the day or as you hear the word ‘time’ and at 13:23 (1:23 pm). This may be a verse card to print LARGE (5x7 or 8x10) and to put up on your refrigerator door (one of my favorite places to visit often each day). It is not meant to be a threat… it is just a stated reality. It will happen one day. It will be all on God’s time. It is not conditional on us. So, be ready… even now. Enjoy each day He gives to you. Invite others to join in the fellowship with Jesus. Then repeat that process every day… until He comes again. You will be greatly blessed along the way!
Our daily prayers continue for all of the global missions’ organizations and outreach programs. We uplift the work of World Vision (Federal Way, WA) for their extensive and ongoing work with the children in the poorest countries and areas to bring hope, help, health, healing, and the message of Christ. We sponsor two children in their program. We are encouraged to see their progress each year. It is a small thing that we do but we pray that it will have eternal blessings to those children, their families, and their community. Help to support them if you can. Continue to be a blessing to your favorite mission programs. Volunteer if you are able. Stay blessed to be a blessing. Pass it on with urgency and passion for those who have yet to know Jesus as their Savior… we want all to hear of His love and mercy!
