Jesus gives a lesson is faith. He reminds the disciples that if they had faith and did not doubt that they could move mountains with such faith. He reminds them (and us) that prayer is powerful if we believe in what God can do. This is not a ‘magic genie’ that grants every wish. It is an all powerful God that wants the best for us and wants us to seek His will and to guide our paths to go where He moves us. Being in the will of God and following in His ways leads to a truly wonderful life and even more beyond what we can see! Act and live like a believer!
Please pass along this verse to friends and family… near or far away. Ask what they ask for in their prayers. Ask how long they have been asking for it. See how they respond. Too often, we lack persistence. OR, we pray for something…God grants it… and we forget to thank Him for such a blessing. We need to continue to grow in faith. We need to continue to make our requests to God… then we need to let God be God. Often, He gives us much better or more than we asked for. Often, in His timing… the answer is ‘not yet’. Stay faithful…He is trustworthy. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© every day/ night and as you make BIG requests of God or at 11:24 am or pm. Then as you remember this verse, thank God for all the prayers answered that we forgot to say, ‘Thank You’. This may be a great verse card to print out as a 5X7 size photo and put it on your refrigerator or bulletin board (the cork kind) at home. This is a verse for the whole family to see often. It will be a witness to visitors who stop by. We are often pulled between faith and doubts. We know what we need but we feel unworthy to even ask. We ask, but still find it hard to believe that God would do that much for us. Trust Him. He WILL move mountains if your faith is that committed to Him. Grow deeper in faith each day and share that faith along the way. It will be the adventure of a lifetime… and a great one at that.
Pray for all the youth outreach programs and missions which the youth of our churches engage in each year. It may be visiting nursing homes. It may be repairing homes in areas of need. It may be rural outreaches with Bible school programs. It may be cleanup and repairs in disaster areas still rebuilding. Whatever the mission, these youth and sponsors go in the name of Jesus to put their love of Christ into action and into acts of love and kindness. Find out what your church or fellowship youth group is planning. Support them. Keep them in your prayers. Let them know that you pray for them. Be that wonderful blessing in their lives. Pass it on by believing in the great plans which God has in mind for you… then let Him know you are ready to go and to do His will!
