Leading from behind is a winner!

10:31 Mark “But many who are first will be last, and the last first.“ (NIV)

Peter is not shy. He reminds Jesus that they have left ALL behind to follow Him. Then Jesus reminds him and the others of their reward now (with persecution) and forever with Jesus. Jesus again tells them that He doesn’t keep score the way the world does. The humble, poor, faithful who give Him their all now will be those that He rewards. The proud, rich, self-serving people who may have fame now will be far behind when the day of judgment comes. Seek Him. Serve Him. Trust Him. The rewards are out-of-this-world… and they cannot be taken from you!

Always please forward this reminder to family and friends who are getting ready to begin a new decade in 2020. Ask if they will be making any New Year’s resolutions this year. Ask how they will differ from those in prior years. See how they respond. While we all need to take stock of what we hope to do in the New Year, leave LOTS of room for God’s hand to guide you. See where you can be of greatest service to others. That is a great place to start. Show His love in all that you do. Then give Him ALL the glory, honor, and praise. Take Time For God’s Word© often during the day and as you see people pushing to be first or at 10:31 am or pm please recall this verse and the priorities of God. This is just a dozen short words. We have had verses similar to this one. Just a few times of saying it and you will know it. Then, it is just being reminded of it often. That is why the Reminder function on the phone is so helpful (to me). Just set it once for every day (or every week) and this verse will pop up on your phone. Often when you see the time, you will also KNOW this verse. Then, apply it to your day. We should never be too busy in life that we cannot take a few moments for His Word and His encouragement to us through His Word. If this is not yet your habit, great news… you can start it in 2020!! You will be blessed… and you will be a blessing for sharing His Word with others!!

Our prayers continue for all the adoption services groups and organizations around the country. We continue to highlight Evangelical Child and Family Agency (Wheaton, IL) for their faithful service in the mid-West. There are so many great stories about the kids and the families that have been part of the adoption process. What a blessing they have been and continue to be. Support them if you can. Help those in your area or community. Encourage the adoptive families. It is a life changing process. Be a blessing to all that you meet. Pass it on to those who may need it whether at the front or at the back… ALL need His forgiveness and love!
