Dog food?…share even crumbs with others…

7:28 Mark “Lord," she replied, "even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." " (NIV)

All people came to Jesus for healing for themselves and for members of their families. A Greek woman sought healing for a daughter possessed by demons. Jesus said His focus was the people of Israel, but the woman persisted… this was her response. It showed faith… passion… persistence in finding healing for her daughter. Oh, that we would have such faith that caused Jesus to heal her daughter. Pursue faith with a passion… then use it to show compassion to others.

Please send this verse to friends and families with pets. Ask if they would ever consider withholding food or water from their pets. Ask if treat our pets with such love and care…then why don’t we do the same for people. Let them know that we are not picking on them… just trying to make a point. We need to share the Good News with any and all people that God puts in our paths. We never know the witness or impact of our testimony. It may be a life-saver to many. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© more often each day as you see crumbs on the table or floor (which may be often if you have young children) or at 7:28 am or pm as you recall this verse and the healing hand of Jesus. This may be a verse card to print out (with extra copies, too). Put it in your purse or pocket near the money. As you see it often each day, be reminded to share His love with waiters, waitresses, gas station attendants, store personnel, etc. Speak kind words. Words of hope and blessing go a long way with people that we sometimes take for granted. Know their names. Address them by name when you see them again. You may be the only ‘Bible’ that they ever see… share His love with purpose and pass along a verse card to give them a reminder of the God who loves them eternally!

Our prayers now reach out to all those organizations which have social needs that benefit all people. This would include the Red Cross (Washington, DC), Feeding America (Chicago, IL), Bread for the World (Washington, DC), and others. The heart of their mission is to help people in need. We support that. They are giving physical relief to the suffering. That is important. AND, we can add to that by helping people find spiritual help and healing. Serving in these organizations gives us opportunities to give ‘living water’ to those in need. Help them where you can. Be that blessing. Pass it on by sharing ‘the Bread of Life’ and pass on even the crumbs to those starving for a taste of salvation.
