Have a clean heart and let it show…

7:15 Mark “Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them." (NIV)

Jesus pointed out that the Pharisees would commit to giving to the temple but would then deny helping parents or others that were in need. Jesus would state that their hearts had hardened to the real needs of people that they should be serving. We also need to make sure that we are serving the poor and needy. We should not just be making our worship centers more comfortable and impressive. May others be impressed by our love and service and may we give God all the glory for it!

Copy this blog or the link to this page to give the verse to those who may need it (…that’s most everyone). Ask if they feel that people put up restrictions on ‘stuff’ around them but fail to let His love show through their actions. Ask how they view such people and their practices. Share with them the focus of the Gospel… Go…Teach… Baptize. We are to be active in caring and sharing. We are to feed them with the Bread of Life. Take action today in serving others. And, Take Time For God’s Word© daily as you see people helping others or at 7:15 am or pm as you consider this verse and the Jesus teachings. You may want to save this verse card to your Photos on your phone. Move it to the folder called Favorite Verses. It will then be ready for the times you review those photos and verses. We want to be filled with His Word so that when needed, we can share those messages with others in need. Let the good in you show as you let the love of Jesus pour out on the needy. He will show you how. Trust Him always!

Each month we place a focused prayer for all of our government elected and appointed officials at the federal, state, and local levels. We live in a complicated time with so many competing interests and priorities. Pray that these women and men will perform their duties to the highest levels of the abilities and to serve all of the people and not just those who elected them into office. Keep them in prayer frequently… they need it. Let them know that you are praying for them. Continue to stay blessed and to share those blessings with those close to you. Pass it on by sharing kindness and compassion so that His love is seen in your actions.
