Five loaves and two fish fed a crowd of at least 5000 AND there were 12 basketfuls left over. What an abundant blessing. What a miracle of faith. What an example for us as we trust in Jesus every day. We come back to the question, “When will you be satisfied?” In our chasing after every new idea and shiny object, we seem to be never satisfied, no matter how much we have and hoard. We need to know that when we have been fed by the Word of God, we can be satisfied that we have received the very best that this life can offer… and it lasts forever!
Always pass along these reminders to friends and family everywhere. Ask if they were ‘satisfied’ by their Thanksgiving dinner. Ask if they were hungry again 2-4-6 hours later… and ate some more. We will still need physical food as long as we live YET when we accept Jesus as our Savior and Friend, that satisfies us eternally. We enjoy that now and ALWAYS. Share that Good News with those in need. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© often each day as you enjoy your next meal or at 6:42 am or pm as you recall this verse and feeding the 5000. Save this verse as a Reminder on your phone at 6:42 pm. Let it help you to be thankful for all the blessings that you have. Let it remind you of the blessings that you share with others. Let it motivate you to share even more with those who need it the most. Let each new verse encourage you and help you to give all the glory to God for all He has done!
We again pray for all the homeless shelters and programs that give hope and healing to those in a desperate state in their lives. We continue to lift up Pacific Garden Missions (Chicago, IL) for their ongoing ministries to those in the heart of Chicago and for the lives they touch. We also call out Love & Loaves (Albany, GA) for their generous heart and tireless efforts for the homeless in their community. They could be a model for other communities that need to minister to the homeless populations. Support them when you can. Do the same in your local community if you can. Put His love into action and watch Him do amazing things through YOU. Stay blessed… be a blessing by feeding others the Bread of Life. Pass it on until all who need Him are satisfied… forever!
