Start with what you have… faith!

6:38 Mark "How many loaves do you have?" he asked. "Go and see." When they found out, they said, "Five--and two fish." (NIV)

Jesus had been teaching a large multitude of people. It was getting late. The disciples wanted to send them away to get food. Jesus said they should feed them. It all started with 5 loaves and 2 fish. Not much according to the disciples. A great meal and more according to Jesus. He always takes our ‘little’ and makes it great. He blesses us abundantly more that we deserve or expect. Today, assess what you have to offer. Turn it ALL over to Jesus to bless and to multiply it. Then go out and be His servant to others… giving of yourself as you go… not holding back anything. You will see what wonderful things He had in store for you! Truly awesome! ‘Continue the work of the Lord; Continue to praise His name; Continue to thank the Lord; Until He comes again!’

Please graciously send this along to family, friends, and neighbors . Ask if they have ever felt that they had too little food to feed a large gathering. Ask how it turned out for them. Other Gospels tell us that the food was given by a young boy to the disciples. He gave it ALL to Jesus. Share with them what Jesus can do when we give Him our ALL. Be that blessing to them. Remember to Take Time For God’s Word© many times each day as you find the food you need or at 6:38 am or pm as you think of this verse and feeding the multitude. Let this verse be a reminder of two simple things: 1) Check to see what you have to offer God, and 2) Give Him ALL that you have and are. When you do that, He can take the little and make it enough. He can even bless you in such a way that you have more than enough with extra to share with others. It is such a great blessing to have enough to give to others in need. Be that blessing. Be a servant to help others in small or large ways. Who knows what God can really do when we give Him our ALL. Try it and see! It will be astounding!

We lift up in prayers all of the groups and organizations which help and support refugees around the world. We think of Exodus World Services (Park Ridge, IL) that matches up refugees with churches and people who can help to establish and mentor refugee families as they are getting settled in their new home country. It takes many people to help in all areas of getting just the basics in place for these families. Support them in your community. Be a partner to show the love of Christ to them. Help in any way that you can. Stay blessed to be a blessing to those in need. Pass it on by seeing what ‘loaves’ you have to offer, then giving those and more to His work and for His glory.
