Keep telling people…repent…

6:12 Mark “They went out and preached that people should repent.” (NIV)

Jesus sends out His disciples to various towns and cities. He pairs them up. He instructs them. Their message is simple, yet profound…”repent”. It requires that you are honest with yourself. It reminds us that we have ALL sinned against God and one another. We need to change. We need Jesus to take away our sins… AND He does! It is a message worth repeating…often!!

PLEASE show this verse to friends on social media and on your email list. Ask if they ever stop to think about what they would repent of if they had to pick one thing. Ask what stops them from repenting of that or other areas in their lives. Listen carefully to how they respond. Tell them the Good News of the Cross and what Jesus did for them and for ALL people. Let them know that He loves them and that He wants them to know Him as Savior and Friend. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© daily and as you share the message of repentance with others or at 6:12 am or pm as you think about this verse and actions of the disciples. This may be a verse card that you save to Photos on your phone. The verse should be easy to remember as the 12 disciples went out in 6 pairs to spread the message of repentance… 6:12 Mark. The real value to knowing this verse is to be encouraged to invite people to know Jesus. In knowing Him, we also know that we are sinners and we are called to repent and to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It is a simple message with profound implications for our lives now and forever. It is truly Good News. Share it often. You never know the effect of your witnessing. You may not fully know until heaven… you may be surprised at the impacts that you had into eternity. ‘Well done good and faithful servant…’

Our prayers continue for all the Foster Care agencies and organizations around the country. What a great mission they have… to place kids into caring homes where they can be and feel like part of a family. Many of the kids have been through troubled times. Some have been abandoned. Some have been left alone due to deaths of parents. ALL need to feel the love and compassion of families who will take them and make them part of their home. Do whatever you can to support these families. Consider being a foster parent. It can change lives… it can change you. Stay blessed in ALL that you do for His cause and in serving others. Pass it on by sharing the message of repentance and the call to know Jesus now… and forever!
