Can you keep a secret…a BIG secret?

5:43 Mark “He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.” (NIV)

Parents will go to great lengths to protect or to heal their children. Jairus, leader at the synagogue, sought out Jesus and begged Him to come to his home to heal his daughter. Jesus goes with him. People meet them in route and tell them it is too late… the daughter is dead. They continue to the house. Still more people crying and wailing over the death of this little girl. They laugh when Jesus says she is only sleeping. I am sure they stopped laughing when they saw the girl a little later… alive… well… eating. Jesus told the parents to not tell others what had happened. I am not sure how they could do that. It was a miracle. Yet, Jesus came for more than just showing individual miracles… He came to provide a miracle which would heal ALL of mankind from sin. Nothing could deter Him from that mission. And we are ALL glad that He did that for us! Thank you, Jesus!!

Take a minute to show this verse to friends and family… near or far. Ask if they have ever been asked to keep an important secret. Ask if they were able to actually keep from sharing it. Remind them of the purpose for Jesus coming into the world. It was to save ALL people from their sins. It by far overshadowed all of the other miracles which Jesus did for His people. Please, Take Time For God’s Word© throughout each day and as you see what seems like a miracle to you,… or at 5:43 pm as you may recall this verse and the miracles of Jesus. This man believed in Jesus… no matter what other and conflicting information came to him. Jesus asked him to have faith and to believe. The man did. It was ALL worth it in the end. Jesus promise to him never failed. His promise to us will also never fail. Recall this story. Recall how sadness was changed to gladness… all because of Jesus. He can do the same for you. Trust in Him. He will see you through to victory over sin!

We extend our prayers to all of the people who support our teachers and our public schools… superintendents, principals, admin staff, coaches, bus drivers, cooks, etc. Each has an important role to play in the educational processes for our children and grandchildren. Let them know that you appreciate their service. Tell them about the impact that they have on our youth. Let them know that they are a blessing and that you are praying for them. Please share this verse with others. Keep it close to your reminders. Stay blessed and be a blessing. Pass it on to those who still need some Good News in their lives.
