Stop being so afraid…have faith!

4:40 Mark “He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”” (ESV)

The disciples had seen Jesus perform many miracles. Yet, when it came to their needs… their situation… their dependence on Him, their faith was small. We often forget the power of God and His great love for us. We think we are alone. We think we can handle it. We only think of ourselves. That can change… now! Trust in Him fully for all your needs. Cast on Him ALL your cares. Let Him work in and through you… then release all your fears. Live a fear-less life!

PLEASE give this verse to those who need more faith… (pretty much all of us). Ask when was a time in their life when they were most afraid. Ask if those fears were rational and if they were really true. Listen to their replies. Share with them times when you were afraid and how God saw you through that situation. Tell them the Good News. Let them know that God will not forsake them. He is with them always. And, Take Time For God’s Word© many times each day and as you see people who are afraid, or at 4:40 pm as you recall this verse and the love of Jesus. This may be a verse card to print out and to share with others. There is A LOT of fear in our world. Lots of news outlets sharing bad news. Their stories are meant to get your attention to the bad/ sad things happening. Be known as one who shares Good News. Share positive stories. Be encouraging. Make a difference in people’s lives. Let your light shine for Jesus. Don’t be afraid… He is with you ALWAYS!! Don’t just keep the faith… share it with others, too!

Please pray for all of our seminaries and places which are training up our next generation of pastors, ministers, missionaries, and lay leaders. We need them… desperately. Our clergy is retiring faster than we can fill their roles. Churches are mostly losing membership and many are closing. We need more people to fill those roles and to bring their enthusiasm, faith, and hope into the church. Support them. Encourage them. Pray for them often. Help them to become more effective in their efforts. Be that blessing to them. Pass it on without fear and with a faith that is fearless in sharing the Good News to all who will hear it!
