What measure do you use?

4:24 Mark “And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.” (ESV)

Hearing is important. There are lots of sounds (and noise) going on around us all day long. We can filter out most of it. We can selectively listen to certain things. We can focus our hearing on important things. We can choose the voice(s) that we really pay attention to. That is what Jesus wants. He wants our attention. He wants our focus. Are you really paying attention to the voice of Jesus when He is speaking to you? If you are, then you will hear wonderful Good News and it will make your life even better than you could imagine… imagine that!

Click ‘Like’ on this post and PLEASE click ‘Share’ to extend this verse to anyone that you think should hear the Good News… pretty much everyone! Ask if they really pay attention to what they hear. Ask if they have people repeat things, not because they didn’t hear… but because they really weren’t paying attention. Now it is your turn. Hear what they say. Pay attention to how they respond. Really hear what is going on in their lives so that you can prayerfully respond with the Good News of the Gospel. Pray with them and pray for them. We have SO MANY opportunities to share His love each day. Use them wisely. Be in the moment with those who need to meet Jesus. Introduce them today. Always Take Time For God’s Word© each day and as pay attention to hearing or at 4:24 pm as you recall this verse and what God is speaking to your heart. Take a photo of this verse card. Keep it on your phone. Set an Alarm to 4:24 pm to help you recall this verse. The words, “with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you” is very similar to the passage in Luke 6:38 where Jesus talks about giving and what you can expect if you are generous to others, it says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.“ (NIV) What I believe He is saying is that when you give it your ALL… in whatever you do, then you are ALL in to receive the results. Jesus wants you to be ALL in… in loving Him and serving Him… then He will be with you ALL the way throughout your life!! “Pay attention to what you hear.”

Please keep in your prayers all the hospitals and clinics with their staff and their patients around the country. Every day lives are saved…medically. Every day great care and comfort is provided. Every day healings take place. Every day these women and men provide service to patients and their families at critical times in their lives. Many of these medical personnel have a deep love for Jesus and serve others as their mission in life. Give them your thanks. Support them with your prayers AND tell them that you pray for them. Stay blessed in ALL that you do for Him. Pass it on as you help others to hear the Good News and the great future He has planned for them!
