Does your faith bear fruit?

4:20 Mark “But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” (ESV)

Jesus challenges His disciples (and us) to be sown into good soil and to bear much fruit. What does that fruit look like? I believe that we get a good list from Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” When you bear that kind of fruit, others will notice… they will want to know more… they will seek that kind of life for themselves. Reflect the love of Jesus in all that you do!

Copy and then forward the link to this verse to close friends and family. Ask if they have considered what fruit they are producing in their lives. Ask if they can describe what things they are doing which they consider fruitful in the lives of others. Carefully hear what they have to say. If you can engage people to talk about things in their lives, they are more likely to be open to hearing what is happening in your life. We need to be caring before we are sharing the Good News. Keep that in mind as you Take Time For God’s Word© often each day and as you think of seeds or at 4:20 pm. I would encourage you to print out this verse card and make several copies. You can share these copies with other friends and family members. Encourage them to review the verse frequently. Ask if they know the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ (from the verse in Galatians above). Let them know that you pray for them. We need to support one another in prayer. Then we need to bear much fruit in our daily lives. Be fruit-full!!

Our prayer focus today is for all the hospice, memory care and Alzheimer’s care facilities around the USA. These places of care have a great purpose in assuring that loved ones receive high quality and focused attention to the areas which affect them the most. Pray for the caregivers and the patients. It is a stressful time. It is emotional. It is painful to see loved ones slipping away physically, mentally, or both. Support those families which are going through this process. Encourage them. Pray with them. Be a blessing in their time of need. Pass it on faithfully and bear much fruit for His kingdom!
