Don’t be unfruitful in following Jesus…

4:19 Mark “but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.“ (NIV)

Jesus gives the disciples a detailed explanation of the parable of the Sower and the Seed. He states it plainly. He describes the various situations that can choke out His Word. It sounds like our world today. We can relate to it only too well. We even feel like the Word is being choked out due to the worries in our lives… or the deception of wealth… or our own sinful desires for ‘things’ in this world. Cut out those thorns that press in on your faith. Break free. Be fruitful in serving Him!

PLEASE direct this post to all who are on your social media lists. Ask if they have ever heard the parable of the Sower and the Seed from the Bible. Ask them if they can describe some of the places where the seeds landed and what happened to them. Listen to how they respond. Share the parable if they haven’t heard it. Share the insights to the parable that you have gained by reading the whole passages in your personal Bible study time. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© as you see seedlings or seeds of any kind or at 4:19 pm. Consider this verse and be reminded of how the world tries to choke out our faith in God and in what Jesus did for us on the cross. Take a photo of the verse card and put it in your Favorite Verses album on your phone. Then you can scan through these many verse cards to be reminded of what we need to do in our lives. You can also use them to help others in their needs. Feel free to share the verse cards with them or point them to the Facebook.com/taketimeforgodsword/ post site. It is fun sharing… with a blessing attached to it. Pass it on.

We extend our prayers for all the Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities and their staff and residents. We are generally living longer. As we do that, we need more help longer in our older years. If we need a lot of help, then these type of facilities will be needed. Please stay in contact with friends or relatives who may be in one of these facilities. They need to hear from you. Send them cards or letters. Text them or send them photos. You will be a great blessing to them if you do. You will make their day (or even their week). Stay blessed in ALL that you do. Pass it on by being fruitful in your faith and in sharing it willingly with others.
