The man went and spread the word…

1:45 Mark “But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere. He had to stay out in the secluded places, but people from everywhere kept coming to him." (NLT)

Complete healing. The man with leprosy was made clean by Jesus. He was to show himself to the priests to be restored to the community. He was told NOT to tell others. But, when you have been made clean… when the disease is gone… when you are no longer an outcast… well, you just HAVE to tell someone… anyone… everyone. That is what the man did. It meant that Jesus could not go into towns because of the huge crowds who came to see Him. Good News travels fast… great news travels even faster. Share both with everyone that you know!

Copy this blog post or the link to this page to tell this verse to all of your friends and family everywhere. Ask them if they have met someone who was cured of a disease. Ask them if that person still tells the story of their healing. Tell them about the healing of this man in our verse. I don’t know why Jesus told him to not tell others… maybe because it would isolate Jesus to more remote places as the crowds knew of His healings and they wanted more. The healed leper could not help but to tell others… it was too good not to share. It still is! Now, Take Time For God’s Word© as you see people who are healed or at 1:45 pm and remember this verse and how the man with leprosy told everyone. This may be a verse to save as an Action Item on your phone. You can set it for 1:45 pm or just keep it as a general item. Copy in the whole verse. It is a bit longer. Yet, the message is still easy to understand…’spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened’. That’s still our message today. Let people know about the love of Christ. He died for them. They can believe in Him. He forgives their sins. They can have eternal life through Him. So simple. Let others know… it applies to them!

We begin the new monthly prayer cycle with sincere prayers for all the women and men in our military…all branches… homebased or on foreign soil, seas, or airspace. They are willing to sacrifice their all for us to protect our freedoms and our country. Thank them. Support them and their families who are waiting for them to return home. We support the American Bible Society (Philadelphia, PA) which sends Bibles and Gospel materials to our service men and women to help them through the tough times. Help that way too, if possible. Stay blessed to be a great blessing. Pass it on by proclaiming the Good News to everyone… yes, everyone!
