Baptized with the Holy Spirit…

1:08 Mark “I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." (NIV)

We quickly see that John the Baptizer knew that his role was to prepare hearts for the coming of Jesus. He knew that while people repented and where baptized with water, that Jesus would come to give a baptism with the Holy Spirit. We have such a baptism. We have the Holy Spirit within us. We are well equipped and well prepared to share that Spirit with others that we meet each day. Don’t miss out on that chance to share your faith!

Please send this verse to close family and friends. Ask if they remember their baptism. Ask if their baptism gives them greater confidence in sharing the Good News. When Jesus sent His Holy Spirit, it means that we have within us the same spirit as Christ. We should be bold in our witness and in our sharing because of the Holy Spirit. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© whenever you see a baptism or at 1:08 pm, and think of this verse and the gift of the Holy Spirit. You can set this up as a Reminder on your phone at 1:08 pm with the title, “1:08 Mark I baptize you with water…” It will be enough for you to finish the verse and to thank God for His great blessings. Know that his Holy Spirit is enabling you to do great things.

Let us pray for all the youth music programs and music groups within our churches and fellowship groups. Even from the youngest ages, children can understand and can share the love of God through simple, honest, and touching songs. I love to watch kids doing the motions to some of the songs. They are so intense in getting the motions AND the words done at the right time. Encourage them. Let them know that you appreciate their songs. Cherish those moments. Stay blessed to be a blessing to many others. Pass it on with the power of the Holy Spirit and with the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
