One of the most important three letter words in the Bible is the word ‘ASK’. We should ‘ask God’. But do we? Here we are to ask for wisdom…which is the ability to discern or make key choices among many options. When we ask, we also need to believe that God is ready, willing, and able to give us what we ask for. As noted in the verse, He ‘gives generously to all’. So, begin each day seeking wisdom in the choices that you make and in how you conduct yourself in service to Him. Asking makes all the difference…and growing in wisdom gives you greater joy along the way.
Please route this verse to family, friends, and anyone who could use a bit of wisdom in their life…right now. Ask how they go about getting wisdom enough to make the right choices each day. Ask if they seek God’s help and if they believe that He gives them the wisdom that they need. Share with them examples from your life… when God provided you the wisdom and insights needed to make the right choices in a situation. Let them know that He gives wisdom to all who ask. Tell them the Good News about Jesus and share your faith in Him. Remember to Take Time For God’s Word© each day and at 1:05 am/ pm or as you find situations which need wisdom. Then recall this verse and see how He gives generously to all who ask. If you are like me, I am continually impressed by how much I don’t know. The world is changing faster than I can keep up with it. Let this verse remind us ALL to pause and to seek the wisdom from God on what we need to focus on each day. We can set this as a Reminder on our phones for 1:05 pm on Saturdays to prompt us to ‘ask God for wisdom’ and to know that He will give it to us. We don’t need to know all the answers… we just need to know the one who has ALL the answers. Seek His help and guidance. He will not fail you if you trust in Him.
We need to pray for ALL our governmental leaders and elected officials…they could ALL use extra wisdom in what they need to deal with on our behalf. The world has become a more complex and inter-related place. Decisions made can affect us for years and decades to come. Let them know that you pray for them. Let your wisdom help to give them direction. Also let them know that you appreciate their service. Be a blessing to them. Pass it on to others using the wisdom and guidance which God has given to you… and remember to ‘ask’ God in whatever you need.
