May all be well with your soul…

1:02 3 John “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." (NIV)

We are already in 3rd John. It is another type of greeting AND it is a prayer for friends. This is my prayer for each of you. While we have not yet met in person, you are part of a growing number of ‘forever friends’ which I am continuing to make. These are friends spread over long distances. We just don’t see each other, YET, I feel very close to them because we are sons and daughters of the King of Kings. We have a home awaiting us in heaven. We will have an eternity to catch up on things (if any of the things in this life matter much then). May the verses that we share be good for the soul and may they bring you comfort, peace and joy as you recall them. Thanks for being my friend! Invite others to join in. We need all the forever friends that we can find!

PLEASE give this verse to all your dear friends…near or far away. Ask what they would want you to pray for on their behalf. Ask if they regularly pray for their friends and what they pray for. God does not limit or restrict our prayers. There is no word count… no rules about praying for the needs of others… no pray time limit… IN FACT, we are told to ‘pray without ceasing’. That is how much God wants us to be in communications with Him. So, Take Time For God’s Word© many times a day and at 1:02 am/ pm or as you are thinking of a friend, then recall this verse and pray for them now. Take an extra minute or two to reach out to your closest Christian friends to tell them just how important they are to you. Let them know that you love them dearly and that you do pray for them often. Share activities or events in your life that would be meaningful to them. Knowing that you are thinking of them and praying for them will be a great joy to them just as it is when friends reach out to you. You are GREATLY blessed to have such friends!! Surround them with your prayers!

We again offer up our prayers for all of the organizations and individuals who are involved with the settlement of refugees needing support from around the world. We continue to call out Exodus World Services (Park Ridge, IL) for their compassion and partnerships with churches to welcome the families into their community. They have volunteers who help with language issues, mentoring, logistics of getting places, etc. They can always use more support. Support them where you can. Be that kind of blessing in your community as well. We are ALL just passing through this world so help out fellow travelers wherever you can. Stay blessed. Pass it on through prayers for health, for peaceful living, and for souls that are being nourished daily from God’s Word!
