If people could only watch you throughout your day and not hear any of your words, how would they describe your way of life? We forget that our actions speak loudly even to people who cannot hear our words. As someone has said, ‘you may be the only Bible that some people will ever see’… that means that your actions speak to those who cannot or will not read the words of the Bible. They will see you living it instead. Each day as you get up in the morning, make a conscious effort to put your faith into action…with your family…with your friends…with your co-workers…and with everyone that you meet. Live out His love for all to see through your actions!
Share this blog post make known this verse to all of your family, friends, and neighbors. Ask how they would describe your actions or conduct…not considering your words. Ask if they would say that your words are consistent with and supportive of your actions and how you live. Be prepared for some honest feedback. Thank them for their responses and make adjustments if their observations aren’t what you had hoped to hear. God is not finished with us yet…we all have areas where we can improve our witness for Him. Take Time For God’s Word(c) throughout each day and at 3:18 am/ pm. As you take action or do your tasks, think about this verse and how others would see your messages…then adapt accordingly. If you save this verse card, you can later print it from your laptop or even from your phone. I usually print them as 4x6 prints (even though they are a bit narrower than that). I trim them and put them in my pockets to review throughout the day or the week. If I have learned the verse, I often will pass it along to someone else so they won’t need to print it as well. Think about how you like to share His Word and use that technique… or adopt the one that I use. Either way, take action on sharing the love of Christ through His Word.
Please pray for all of the nursing homes and assisted living centers in your community and around the country. They project that these types of facilities will grow in number as our population ages and as there will be fewer family members available to provide support for aging parents or grandparents. The staff and residents of these types of living centers work together to make the arrangements fit their needs. They still need to have love and care from other friends and family members to visit and to support them. Take action to show that you think of them. Be that blessing to them. Pass it on in words and in your calls BUT most of all, show it in your actions that you share the love of Christ with the world.
