Have fellowship with one another!

1:07 1 John “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." (NIV)

We are to walk in the light of God’s love. I wish it were just that easy. It seems that many paths are well lit. Which is the one that I am to take? I believe it is the one that leads to greater fellowship with other Christians. We are not created as solitary Christians. We are created to be in fellowship with others… to support them AND to receive love and support from them. Then the great Good News is that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from ALL sin. We no longer need to drag the sins of the past with us into the future. If they are forgiven and forgotten by God, put them in the past and move confidently into the future He has planned for you! It is a BRIGHT future!

PLEASE give this verse to co-workers in His kingdom…wherever you may have met them. Ask where and when did they have the most meaningful fellowship with other Christians. Ask what was it about that group that made it so special to them. Listen carefully to what they describe. For me it was three summers of Bible Camp ministry. We were so close. We had great kids to teach and to lead to know Jesus. We could feel the Spirit moving to touch young lives for His kingdom. Share your experiences with others. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word(c) at 1:07 am or pm OR whenever you enter a fellowship meeting, then recall this verse. Take a minute to save this verse card to your Photos. Then you can print it out to have in your pocket or purse (or print extras to share with others.) I carry around various verse cards and they are always being pulled out whenever I need to use cash or a credit card. As I see them, I do take a moment to review the verse. I am amazed at how meaningful the verses are at different times during the day. Maybe it just takes that long for them to sink into my brain… OR they go from head knowledge to a heart-felt understanding of what God is trying to get through to me. I pray that you will find the best ways for you to recall these verses and to put them into action as you share your faith with others.

We take time each month to remember those people who have been impacted by various natural or weather-related issues. They may have been hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, heat, drought, and even forest fires. We especially pray for the people in Brazil and the containment of thousands of fires which are burning in the Amazon. We often forget how important that area is to the overall production of oxygen in the atmosphere of our planet. We all depend on the natural resources which God has provided. We need to protect them and to pass them on to future generations. Offer support where you can. Stay blessed to be a blessing where you are. Pass it on through fellowship and know the forgiveness of ALL of your sins. He makes each day a new day of grace!
