Be ready to be blessed!

115:13 Psalm "He will bless those who fear the LORD, both great and lowly." (NLT)

If you have followed this ministry during the past four years, then you may have seen one of my summary phrases, ‘I just don’t believe in miracles, I COUNT ON THEM!!!’ And, so often those miracles show up in the blessings which I am able to share with others AND the great blessings that I receive from others! WOW! Go through each day with eyes wide open to see the wonders which come to us through God’s hand of blessing. Share yours with those nearest to you! He has more coming your way!

You can extend this verse to anyone that you know who could use an extra blessing (i.e. pretty much everyone!) Ask if they feel that they have been blessed in their lives. Ask what they feel is the greatest blessing that they have received. Listen carefully to how they describe it. Remind them that as we are blessed, we can also then share those blessings with others. There is no limit to how many God will give… you just need to make room for them so keep passing them on to those in need. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© at different times each day and as you recognize a blessing in your life (which may be often), then think about our verse as “115:13” and see who you can bless this day. To make this memorable, if you look at the 1-1-5 in the digital font looks like “I IS” and the 1-3 looks like the letter “B”. So, to jog your memory, you would associate “I IS B(lessed)”. While it is not good grammar, it is still true… “I IS Blessed”. When we make things unusual… funny… exciting… challenging… we also make it more memorable. If that helps you, great…remember it often. If you have a better way to recall it… even better…just recall that you are blessed and that you are called to be a blessing to others. Practice it always!!

Pray for all of the youth outreach missions and ministries from your church or fellowship groups which have been going on all summer. We have heard only a little bit of the excitement and experiences that our youth at church have experienced. You can see it on their faces. You can hear it in their voices. You can observe how they gesture and use their hands to describe the things the saw and learned and did and helped and so much more. They have grown in faith. You have helped them through your prayers and your support. Take the time to ask them about their experiences. They love to tell the story…let them. Be that blessing to them. Pass it on through blessings to the great and lowly…knowing that there are many more yet to come to you!
