People often ask, “Where is God in all of this?” When things seem to be out-of-control in their lives, then they wonder where God is and why does He let this happen to them. They have no time for God…until they are out-of-time and there is only God…still there…where He has always been. A familiar verse captures it well, “ …And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”. (6:08 Micah (NIV)) That is one thing that pleases Him as He is pleased to give us blessings beyond measure.
PLEASE give this verse to family, friends, and neighbors. Ask them what is the one thing that pleases them the most. Ask why they get so much satisfaction and joy from that one thing. You may be surprised at some of their answers. You may hear that ‘helping family’ or ‘spending time with loved ones’ is the thing that pleases them. It pleases God to do the same. Thank Him for that great love. Share that love with all that you meet. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© each day and as you do something that pleases you, then recall this verse as “115:03” and praise God all that pleases Him. This may be a verse that you set in your Calendar in your phone or on your computer at 5:03 pm on Fridays for the next month. Set the appointment as “PS 115:03 Our God is in the heavens…” It will come at the end of a work week or a school week. Through it all, you will be reminded “Our God is in the heavens”. Despite the disappointments, you will know, “Our God is in the heavens.” No matter what highs or lows you faced, you can rest assured that, “Our God is in the heavens.” He is in control. He does all that He pleases. He loves YOU. He is there for you… just a prayer away. Spend time with Him. That is something that pleases Him!
We continue our prayers for all of the organizations and agencies which support foster care services and foster family placements. There are kids of all ages in our foster care system. They all want one thing…one thing that pleases them… to be in a family. They want someone to love them and to accept them. They want stability in their lives. They want a place that they can call home. We do more than just pray for them. We support these agencies. We encourage foster families. We welcome them into our fellowship. Be that blessing wherever you can be. Pass it on in ways that please our God as He ALWAYS does good and pleasing things for us!
