“Great job”…”Nice work”…”Well Done”… Those are words we like to hear. It means that people notice us and what we do. It means they are grateful. It means that we have had an impact. AND, it often means that we are taking credit for what God has done in and through us. It gives us a great opportunity to thank for the compliment THEN to give God the glory for all that He has done for us. It is a witnessing opportunity that we should use every time. It is right to give Him the glory. It is good to point to Him. It shows that we know who gives us the power to do what is good and right. Praise His unfailing love and faithfulness.
PLEASE send this verse to any and to all of your friends who know the love of God. Ask if they ever get compliments and how that makes them feel. Ask if they ever use those kind words as an opportunity to share God’s love and faithfulness with others. Let them know how you handle compliments and how that works in your life and in your experiences. Share with them the great blessings that we get as a result of giving God all the praise due to His name. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© throughout the day and as you hear anyone giving a compliment, then think of this verse as “115:01” and give God the glory. Whenever there is any blame, the words, “Not us…not us” comes to mind quickly. When it comes to praise, it is rare that someone will say, “Not to us, Not to us”. That’s what makes us different…we know who deserves the credit or the glory and we want to make sure that He gets it. You can set a Reminder on your phone for 5:01pm with the title, “115:01 PS …to your name goes all the glory…” It will help you to give God the glory each day for ALL that He has done…even through you (and me). What amazing grace and love that He can use even me!
Our prayers go out to all of the adoption agencies and organizations like Evangelical Child and Family Agency (Wheaton, IL) who focus on placing children into Christian homes and with families that will provide a loving environment for those children. There are still many people seeking to adopt. They often wait for months or years. They want children. They want to provide for those children. Encourage them. Help them. Support them in prayer. Help those who are in process of giving up children for adoption. What a blessing they are providing. Stay blessed in ALL that you do each day. Pass it on by giving Him the glory and by experiencing His unfailing love and faithfulness.
