We call on a higher power!

113:04 Psalm “For the LORD is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens.” (NLT)

It is rare for leaders of countries to agree on very many items. There are geopolitical issues which often default back to national interests. Honoring those who fought in world wars is one such activity where all can agree that the sacrifices of those who joined forces and fought for freedom paid a great price for our freedoms. Christ paid the price for the sins of ALL people, yet it is still surprising that His sacrifice is not more widely known and even more widely accepted. We still must share the Good News. Many have not yet heard that wonderful story and the lifegiving benefits which He freely gives to those who follow Him!

PLEASE pass along this verse to family, friends, and neighbors. Ask them to name the top 5 leading nations in our world today. Ask them to name the top 5 leading nations 100 years ago or even 300 years ago. We know that the lists would be very different. Nations rise and fall. Leaders come and go. But, our God is from everlasting to everlasting. He reigns above ALL nations and leaders… forever! Now, Take Time For God’s Word© regularly each day and as you look up to the skies, then give thought to this verse as “113:04” and give God the glory for another new day. In our church, we have dozens of flags which represent countries where we have sent missionaries or where we have supported mission projects. Yet, above those flags is a very large cross embedded into the front of the church. It reminds us that the flags represent places but that Jesus died for people… ALL people. We need to recall this verse often as we see the needs of the world and as we need to find ways to reach more people for Him and for His purposes. Pass it on…always and in ALL ways!

We again pray for all of the teachers, aids, social workers, etc. in our schools. They are getting ready for another school year. They are setting up and decorating classrooms to capture the student’s attention and interests. They are preparing lessons which will help students to learn and to grow in knowledge and in understanding our world. Take an extra few minutes to call them. Thank them. Encourage them. Let them know what a difference they make in so many lives. If you are (or were) a teacher…THANK YOU! I am confident that we never said it enough as kids to our teachers. You are a blessing. Stay blessed in all that you do. Set a good and powerful example for the kids that you teach. Be a BLESSING!
