How do you react to bad news? Does it upset you? Does it enrage you? Does it cause you to lose faith? We will ALL encounter bad or sad news at times during our lives. Yet, we are called to remain faithful…confident in God…and trusting in His promises to us. That can be hard. But, that is how we deepen and strengthen our faith as we persist through the difficult times of life. It will show our courage. It will show our love of Jesus. It will be remembered…even into eternity. Stay strong in Him!
Please pass on this verse to anyone and everyone who is going through tough times in their lives. Ask how they are doing in handling the situation they are in now. Ask what you can do to help them and how you can pray for them. They need to know that you care AND that prayer has an impact! Be strong in your faith and in your support for them at this time. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© daily to build them up and to remind yourself of His great plans for you. While you are at it, recall this verse as “112:06” and let your faith grow stronger each day. Take a photo of this verse card and add it to your Photos Album on your phone called Favorite Verses (or any other folder you choose). That way it is available to you whenever you need a reminder or a refresh on key verses that encourage you. I use my ‘wait time’ as ‘great time’ to review those verses. I don’t even notice the waiting as I am staying close to His Word and I am focused on how that Word can help my life to become ALL that He has planned for me. Try it! It will become a new great habit to use as we ‘wait upon the Lord’.
Please remember to pray for all of the Christian colleges and universities around the country. We remember Waldorf University (Forest City, IA) for their ongoing commitment to Christian values and the witness through their students in jobs and careers around the world. I know that they have had a positive impact in my life and I know that other lives have been changed through their efforts. Let the leaders of these institutions know that you appreciate their work. Support them where you can. Encourage our youth to consider a Christian college or university for their ongoing education. They will receive encouragement, support, and insights for life! Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on to others so that their faith may be strengthened and never be shaken.
