We will remember our compassionate Lord!

111:04 Psalm “He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.” (NIV)

You would think that it is always the big things that get remembered… and they usually are. But, it is also the little things, the personal things, the treasured things that stand out in our minds for years to come. We always remember the mighty works of God…the universe… the sun… the stars… and so much more. Yet, we will treasure in our hearts the acts of grace… of compassion… of love… of mercy… and of forgiveness which will keep us coming back to thank and praise God time and time again. Remember Him… He is always thinking of you!

You can submit this verse to your family and friends…near or far away. Ask what is the biggest memory they have of their childhood. Ask why that stands out so large and prominent in their minds. Share with them a memory from your past as well. Remind them of the great love and compassion of Jesus for each of us. While we often recall His miracles, it was His sacrifice for our sins that made our salvation possible. Thank Him and praise Him for that each day. Please, Take Time For God’s Word© during each day and think of His wonders in our world, then consider this verse as “111:04” and be gracious and compassionate to others. Save this verse card as a photo on your phone so that you can review it from time to time. As you review other verses, make sure that you think through this verse often. It reinforces memory. It establishes new connections. It makes you think. It encourages gratitude. It brings you closer to God. Do it often with other favorite verses, too!

We pray for all of the Christian schools and pre-schools around the country. They will soon begin the next school year. There is a lot of preparation. There is a lot of anticipation. There is a lot of prayer. All of these go into opening and operating our Christian schools. Encourage the students and the teachers. Support them with your time, talents, and possessions. We need to have the message of Christ shared each day with our youth. We want them to learn of His compassion and His love… and we need them to share it with others. Stay blessed. Pass it on with great compassionate care for those in need.
