Have faith during the silence…

109:01 Psalm “I praise you, God; don't remain silent!” (GNT)

You know the feelings. You have prayed…prayed long… prayed hard…prayed again…and again… and now you wait. You know that God hears our prayers. You know that He loves us. You know that He wants what is best for us. You know that He is in control. Yet, WHY does He remain silent for so long? The minutes seem like years that He is silent…waiting…waiting for the right time…waiting for the best outcomes for us… AND for His kingdom. The silence develops in us patience… endurance …hope… and hope does NOT disappoint us. Our hope is in Him!

PLEASE give this verse to anyone you know who is waiting for God to answer their prayers… send it to everyone. Ask if they have ever felt that God is silent when it comes to answering their prayers. Ask how they handled the wait-time, looking for His response. Listen carefully to their replies. Share with them the assurance that God will act. He will answer. He will reply. He may say…YES… or NO… or WAIT. And in the waiting, He still cares for us and sustains us through His Word. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© OFTEN each day and use the silence to continue to praise Him, then think about this verse as “109:01” and renew your trust in His hand leading and guiding you. It is in times of silence that knowing His Word gives us great comfort and great hope. Verses like: 43:31 Isaiah “but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (ESV) OR 7:07 Matthew “"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (NIV) May your faith deepen and grow during the silent time… during the preparation time for the things yet to come.

Please pray for those missionaries that you know by name. Lift them up in prayer. Ask God’s special blessings and strength for all that they are going through to bring the Gospel message to where God has called them to serve. It may be around the world… it may be in our own country… it may be in our own neighborhood. There are mission fields EVERYWHERE if we will just open our eyes and our hearts to His calling. Let them know that you pray for them. Call them…text them… email them… reach out to show them that you care. They need your support. Be a blessing to them. Pass it on even in the silence KNOWING that God loves you ALWAYS and especially during the silence.
